E-Mail Marketing

A/B Testing

Also known as split testing, it is a method of comparing two variations of an email (A and B) to determine which performs better in terms of open rates, click-through rates, or conversions.

Automated Email

Emails that are triggered and sent automatically based on predefined criteria, such as user actions, time-based triggers, or events. Automated emails include welcome messages, abandoned cart reminders, and birthday emails.

Bounce Rate

The percentage of sent emails that were not delivered due to invalid email addresses or other delivery issues. A high bounce rate can negatively impact email deliverability.

Call to Action (CTA)

A clear and actionable statement within an email that prompts recipients to take a specific action, such as “Shop Now,” “Download Now,” or “Learn More.”

Click-Through Rate (CTR)

The percentage of users who click on a specific link or call to action within a marketing asset, such as an email or advertisement. It is used to gauge the effectiveness of the asset in generating user interest and engagement.

Conversion Rate

The percentage of email recipients who complete a desired action, such as making a purchase or filling out a form, out of the total number of email recipients. Conversion rate measures the success of an email campaign in achieving its goals.

Double Opt-In

An email subscription process that requires users to confirm their subscription by clicking a link sent to their email after signing up. Double opt-in provides an extra layer of consent and reduces the likelihood of fake or mistyped email addresses.

Drip Campaign

An automated email campaign in which a series of emails are sent to subscribers over time at predefined intervals. Drip campaigns are often used for lead nurturing and onboarding sequences.

Email Automation

The use of software or tools to automate and streamline various aspects of email marketing, including scheduling, segmentation, and personalized content delivery.

Email Blacklist

A list of email addresses, domains, or IP addresses that have been flagged as spammers or abusers by email providers. Being on an email blacklist can severely impact deliverability.

Email Campaign

A coordinated series of marketing emails sent to a targeted group of recipients with specific goals, such as promoting a product, announcing an event, or nurturing leads.

Email Deliverability

The rate at which emails successfully reach recipients’ inboxes without being caught by spam filters or bounced back. High deliverability is essential for effective email marketing.
